Johnstown Community Clean Up Day Announced

April 25, 2015 8am-1pm
One Day Only

The Town encourages residents to participate in this low cost cleanup effort to help keep Johnstown beautiful. Again, this is for one day only. There will be a $10 fee per load.

Please note: You will be required to show identification for proof of residency.

E-waste Recycling will be available at an additional cost per item.

Household hazardous materials such as paint and cleaners as well as batteries and tires will not
be accepted. Please take these items to the Weld County Household Hazardous Waste drop-off
site. (970) 304-6415, ex. 2233.

The Town will accept used motor oil, BUT NOT APPLIANCES.

9 Health Fair

This is a very extensive event with a variety of health screenings including: Blood pressure, blood work, colorectal, vision, skin.

Several health education booths will also be available.  If your health is important to you, don't miss this event!

Milliken Pet Vaccination Clinic Saturday, May 30th
 Mark your calendar, folks. Milliken Animal Clinic’s much anticipated annual vaccination clinic will be held on Saturday, May 30th at the Milliken Fire Department from 9am until noon. $10 vaccines will be available for both dogs and cats. No appointment needed, no credit cards accepted. Reminder: All dogs older than 6 months must be registered.

 The Town of Milliken will conduct Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 8:00am to 2:00pm at the Public Works Facility located at 2951 Ash Street, east of Town on HWY 60 (ϐirst left hand turn lane to Road 23½.) Turn left (north) to the drop site.
 Clean-Up Day provides the residents of the community an opportunity to dispose of items from their home and property at no cost. Metal recycling and household hazardous waste drop-off will also be available.
 NON ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: TV’s, Ammunition, Medical Equipment, Asbestos, Medications, Asphalt, Dirt, Concrete, Sod, Tires, Rocks, Gas Cans, Construction Material, Any unit or device with sludge or Household Hazardous Waste . If you are unsure of other special materials call Town Hall before Saturday.
 Need Assistance with Hauling on Clean up Day? If you are unable to transport items and require assistance please call (970) 587-0699 by 5:00pm, WEDNESDAY, May 6th to schedule a pick-up for the Spring Clean-Up on Saturday, May 9th. Any calls received after May 6th are not guaranteed to be picked up. When leaving a message please leave your name, number, address and a list of items that will be picked up.
