2015 Fire Hydrant Flushing

The Town of Johnstown Water Department will begin the annual flushing of the town’s fire hydrants on May 18 – May 22. Flushing will occur in the following subdivisions: Country Acres, Johnstown Center, Johnstown Farms, and Pioneer Ridge.

Fishing Derby

Date: May 30, 2015

Children 15 years of age and younger can enjoy a friendly competition with fish stories to tell for year.  Please join us for the Annual Fishing is Fun Fishing Derby.  No registration. Competition Fishing is from 9:00am to 11:00am.  Parents please remember you need to fish with your children. No fishing license required.

Milliken Pet Vaccination Clinic Saturday, May 30th

 Mark your calendar, folks. Milliken Animal Clinic’s much anticipated annual vaccination clinic will be held on Saturday, May 30th at the Milliken Fire Department from 9am until noon. $10 vaccines will be available for both dogs and cats. No appointment needed,no credit cards accepted. Reminder:All dogs older than 6 months must be registered.


Milliken Clean-Up Day - Saturday, May 9, 2015

The Town of Milliken will conduct Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 8:00am to 2:00pm at the Public Works Facility located at 2951 Ash Street, east of Town on HWY 60 (first left hand turn lane to Road 23½.) Turn left (north) to the drop site.

Clean-Up Day provides the residents of the community an opportunity to dispose of items from their home and property at no cost. Metal recycling and household hazardous waste drop-off will also be available. NON ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: TV’s, Ammunition, Medical Equipment, Asbestos, Medications, Asphalt, Dirt, Concrete, Sod, Tires, Rocks, Gas Cans, Construction Material, Any unit or device with sludge or Household Hazardous Waste . If you are unsure of other special materials call Town Hall before Saturday.

Need Assistance with Hauling on Clean up Day? If you are unable to transport items and require assistance please call (970) 587-0699 by 5:00pm, WEDNESDAY, May 6th to schedule a pick-up for the Spring Clean-Up on Saturday, May 9th. Any calls received after May 6th are not guaranteed to be picked up. When leaving a message please leave your name, number, address and a list of items that will be picked up.
