Swagger

The “Swagger” is similar to a Cake Walk.  This game will be held at regular intervals throughout the day for attendees (ages 2-12).  The purpose of the swagger is to have a fun activity that will attract visitors all day and provide a way for attendees to win substantial prizes.  It also benefits vendors.  It will get attendees to circulate through all the booths as they seek tickets and provides vendors with and additional opportunity to promote their organization/ business.

Set up:  Chairs are arranged in a circle and each chair is distinctly labeled (Shape & Color).  Table displays prizes in an attractive manor.

Playing the game:  To participate in the game, a child must redeem a ticket.  They find a chair.  As music starts children move around the circle of chairs.  When the music stops, they sit down in a chair close to them.  A game moderator draws the winning chair/label.  The child sitting in that chair wins a prize.

Prizes:  Prizes will be donated by vendors.  Vendors are encouraged to include items that directly promote their business such as coupons, a free trial of their service, or a free sample of their product, but please remember that the items need to be attractive to young children.  Items attractive to children may include books, stuffed animals, puppets, games, toys, puzzles, candy, baked goods ($5-20 value).  Perhaps consider a small gift basket with a combination of a couple items.

Tickets:  Any vendor that donates an item as a prize will get a set of tickets to distribute to children for them to participate in the game.  This ensures that the vendor’s booth will be visited.

This game will be held at regular intervals throughout the day for attendees (ages 2-12) to win prizes.  In order for an attendee to participate in the game they must be given a ticket by a vendor.  Vendors will donate items that can be won in the Swagger in exchange; they will be given tickets to distribute to the attendees.  This encourages attendees to visits booths to get the tickets.  Items to donate may include books, stuffed animals, games, toys, puzzles, candy, baked goods and small gift baskets ($5-20 value).
